1. One of Rachel's biggest suggestions is to BORROW, BORROW, BORROW. I couldn't agree more. I have been blessed enough to have women in my life that have given me a few pieces to wear. Borrowing maternity clothes is a FREE way to dress great and comfortable as your little one grows.
2. Along with borrowing, I also received some great pieces for Christmas. Technically this was free too and it is a Christmas gift that I could definitely use.
3. Finding SALES. This is what I wanted to really push. Rachel suggests buying clothes that are just a little big for you because maternity clothes can be a bit pricey. She is right -- they usually ARE pricey. But, it isn't impossible to find some great pieces in your maternity size at a great price. I LOVE my maternity clothes. [Some of my favorite (non-preggo) shirts are becoming snug, and I was encouraged to save my favorites because once Jude is here -- these shirts will be all stretched out.] Ok ONTO the BIG SAVINGS....
Gabe took me to the Motherhood Maternity Outlet at the Grove City Outlets the weekend between Christmas and New Years. [He did walk into the store, and then suggested I do my thing while he goes into a different store... haha.] I had high hopes and $150 to spend.

WOW
WHO PAYS 340 BUCKS on 11 articles of clothing?????
Not this girl! 6 of the 7 shirts were on a sale rack. Additional to the sale price if you bought 2, you got 1 free. The jeans were on sale buy 1 get 1 50% off. The leggings were also on sale to buy 1 get 1 50% off. THEN -- my sister in law gave me a coupon if I spent a certain amount you get more money off. [The sweet cashier explained to me that I was $5 short of getting a bigger amount off of my total... which is why I bought 2 things of chapstick. This took SEVENTY DOLLARS off my total (instead of $25 all because she was great with costumer service). So, instead of paying $339.76 my
GRAND TOTAL WAS.....
$136.60
(I was very happy with this, and even kept it under my $150 limit!)
