I'm going to do a shout out to my Hubby -- for the next several blog posts will be dedicated to him.
Project Number 1. Our back yard.
It has been done for awhile now, and I took some "finished product" pictures and forgot to upload them before eliminating them from my memory card. So -- I'm going to try to take some pictures of the finished product this weekend and post a blog next week some time. (Which is going to require me to rake the leaves as well... I've been putting this off, so it is a WIN-WIN!)
Here is a "Before" sneak peek....
If you know me at all... you know this has been a process. We showered for 3 months in a make-shift shower in the middle of our basement. Thinking back...It was hilarious. Imagine this... we had to walk across the cold floor to turn the shower on and off from our utility sink... It worked, but I'm glad it is over and I'm glad I can chuckle now, because I did NOT find it quite as funny then. A month later, the toilet went in. This was a big deal. Now, in the middle of the night we didn't have to walk down 2 flights of stairs to pee in the basement (where the other toilet is). And just this week, the sink went in. Some small details need to be polished, but my hope is to have this post up for your eyes to see by the end of the month. My husband (with some help from Dan, David, Mark, and Doug) did most of the work himself... and I love him for it. Even if my expectations of it being complete by Memorial Day didn't happen. ;)
Which brings me to our last project of the year...
A Holiday House Tour
I love Christmas. I mean, LOVE IT! And this year we have a BIG house to prepare for the holiday season. I wouldn't be surprised if it is decorated by Thanksgiving, but I cannot wait to get this home all decked out for the Holidays. Garland, stockings, lights, bulbs, rustic, Santa, trees will be placed all over my home and I then plan to blog all of the decorated rooms throughout the month of December. So Excited!
